Transformation
CDR-Developer allows the Extraction and transformation
of Data and the propagation of Data Marts from several different Systems
(Oracle, DB2...). Through an advanced Multithreading Architecture is
achieved a higher degree of the Parallelizing. The Realization based on
"in-memory" transformations, which are grounded on the Parallel
processing and dataflow optimization.
The CDR Data Mart is a scaleable Multi-tier
client/server technology. The client component gives the user the
functionality, which are necessary to query the data and analyze them.
The application server communicates with the data sources, handles the
metadata, serves as a robust Calculation platform and centralizes the
information for the future distribution in the enterprise. The Multi Tier
Technology is a necessary prerequisite to reach a higher performance for
the CDR-Developer.
The new Data Tracer Technology is the heart our
e-Business Intelligence Solution. The Data Tracer is a Graphical User
Interface, which offers a complex data manipulation, data cleaning and
transformation solution. Through the Data Tracer will be the limits of
the SQL-tier broken down. Should it be a data load from source system to
the Data Mart or should it be a data load from Data Mart to the end-user,

Architecture
The CDR-Developer is for the development of the
"Architected Data Marts" and it is Star-Schemata

"bottom-up" methods of the worldwide recognized experts: Ralph
Kimball and it combines the flexibility of the specific Data Marts with
the benefits of an enterprise wide Data Warehouse. Hereby plays the
additional functionality of the CDR-Developer in supporting the
Star-Schemata a very huge role, while the Star Schema is a basic prerequisite
to achieving a connection of the Data Marts to an enterprise wide Data
Warehouse.
OLAP
Analyses and Reports
The CDR OLAP Analysis - and Reporting Tools are
offered in Front End for Queries and Reports to give an access for the
Employees to the data. The most simpler manipulation is realized through
an Drag&Drop interface and through an WEB-Browser Plug in.
Due to the modern "drill-through" technology
is a very quick connection of the data from Cross Tables and
Reports to other Information possible. This fast connection allows
the user a direct, context dependent and hereby time saving access to
further Data, so thus the composition of the necessary Business
Information is notably faster and easier. Through an OLE DB interface
allows the CDR-Solution the use of the Analysis tools of other companies.

application server. The CDR-Data Analyzer uses the application server to

analysis. The seamless integration of the CDR-Data Analyzer's
capabilities within the CDR-Data Mart Builder gives users the power to
embed complex statistical expressions into Data Tracer Plans, whether
those plans load data marts or deliver information to end users. When
underlying data in a Data Tracer Plan changes, persistent statistical
analyses are automatically updated with the most current data.

Presentations
The CDR-Data Presentation is a classical OLAP-Analysis
Tool with a GUI for queries, Exchange, Save, Data access. The easy
operability is ensured through the Drag&Drop Technology is a
graphical tool that lets end users quickly and easily access and share
information stored in CDR-Developer-controlled data marts.
CDR- Data Presentations provides an intuitive
environment for end-users to access information in CDR-Developer
-controlled data marts. Users build requests for information by choosing
from a list of business terms in MetaViews-business representations of
data stored in databases. They don't need to understand where the
information is stored or how it is related, and they are shielded from
the complexities of the database structure. A user can then sort, filter,
aggregate and manipulate the result set, using live data. Since a data
mart can contain a large number of columns or Parts, CDR- Data
Presentations includes a search engine to help users easily find the
information they need. Key words can be associated with Plans and Snaps
to help organize and easily find items of interest.
Plans and
Snaps
CDR- Data Presentations provides two methods for users
to save information requests. First they can save the requests or Plans
for gathering the information. Plans can be executed at any time to get
the most recent data from the data mart. In addition, Plans can be shared
with other users and can be scheduled to run at specified times. A
CDR-Developer user can also save the results as a Snap. Snaps are
snapshots of data from a particular point in time. Snaps deliver huge
performance and productivity gains. By saving the results of a request as
a Snap, users can quickly access data without having to run their request
again. Snaps can also be distributed to other users and can be used as a
starting point for further analysis. Since Snaps are stored in relational
database tables, they can be re-queried against-just as with any database
table.
Powerful
Information Access
CDR- Data Presentations also features powerful
utilities for delivering critical information to end users in flexible
and efficient new ways. Using the CDR-DATA Design Studio 's Data Tracer
Plans, power users can specify actions that would be difficult, if not
impossible, to do with SQL.
